According to fact-checker Mohammad Zubair, Singh alias ‘Gabbar’ claims to be a BJP Yuva Neta, with his car also carrying the party flag.

Slamming the party, the Indian Youth Congress asked. “Prime Minister, you give the slogan of ‘Beti Bachao’ – but the question is, from whom should we save them? Do we have to save our daughters from such ‘cultured’ people? Now the country is saying – save our daughters from Sanghis.”

“In Double Engine states rapists are garlanded, glorified, and given special protection to act without impunity while hapless victims are left to fend for themselves,” stated the All India Trinamool Congress (AITC) sharing pictures of Singh with local BJP leaders.

On April 10, around the afternoon, the accused approached the couple who were sitting by the Hazara canal. They reportedly held the man hostage while the minor girl was allegedly dragged into a room. While they physically assaulted the fiancé outside, one by one, the eight men allegedly raped the 16-year-old survivor.

“Several men forcibly took me to a secluded area and violated me one by one. They had come on motorcycles and, at first, started passing lewd remarks. Then, some of them grabbed my friend and began targeting me. After nearly two hours, my friend and I were allowed to go.
