Besides, traditional dances were also performed during the event.

After the conclusion of the event he addressed a public rally as well. In the public rally, he attacked the Prime Minister Modi  for neglecting Manipur, and more concerned about Israel. He said: “It’s amazing to me that the Prime Minister and the Government of India are so interested in what is happening in Israel, but not interested at all in what is happening in Manipur.”

Adding further, Congress leader said that all the national media is focused on what is going on in Israel, but not discussing the pain and misery of people in Manipur. He says that he cannot understand why PM has not visited Manipur: “It is something to be ashamed of that the leader of our union has not travelled to the state of Manipur after what has happened there.”

In the evening, Mr Gandhi will interact with two students.

Mizoram Congress media cell chairman Lalremruata Renthlei said that on Tuesday, Mr Gandhi will meet party leaders and address a press conference in Aizawl; will visit Lunglei town in the southern part of the state and hold a public meeting, and then will leave for Delhi via Agartala by a chopper from Lunglei.

Mizoram will go to polls on November 7, and the counting of votes will take place on December 3. In the election for 40 assembly seats,  Mizoram will witness three-way contest through ruling Mizo National Front (MNF), Zoram People’s Movement (ZPM), and Congress.

Meanwhile, Congress has released its list of 39 candidates for Mizoram Assembly elections on Monday.
