The BJP candidate Balamukundachary won the 2023 Rajasthan assembly election by defeating the INC candidate RR Tiwari. The Hawa Mahal constituency witnessed a tough competition between BJP and INC. The BJP candidate won with a vote margin of 974 votes. Balamukundachary secured 95989 votes, while INC candidate RR Tiwari secured 95015 votes. Jameel Ahmed khan stood third by securing 95401.
The Haw mahal constituency is among the constituencies which witnessed the return of BJP governance. There will be new elected BJP MLA for Hawa Mahal.
In 2018, Hawa Mahal legislative assembly constituency had total 232751 electors. Indian National Congress candidate Dr Mahesh Joshi won and became MLA from this seat. He secured a total of 85474 votes. Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Surendra Pareek stood second with a total of 76192 votes. He lost by 9282 votes.
In 2013, Hawa Mahal legislative assembly constituency had total 194221 electors. Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Surendra Pareek won and became MLA from this seat. He secured total 69924 votes. Indian National Congress candidate Brij Kishore Sharma stood second with total 57209 votes. He lost by 12715 votes.
In 2008, Hawa Mahal legislative assembly constituency had total 188564 electors. Indian National Congress candidate Brij Kishore Sharma won and became MLA from this seat. He secured total 44926 votes. Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Manju Sharma stood second with total 44346 votes. She lost by 580 votes.
Over all, according to the latest report of Rajasthan assembly election, out of the total 119 seats BJP won 115 seats while INC secured 69 seats. Along with Rajasthan, the assembly elections were held in four other states including Madhya Pradesh, Telangana, Chhattisgarh and Mizoram. The results of these four states was announced today except for Mizoram. Mizoram election result will be announced on December 4.
