Replying to a question on who could be the Bharatiya Janata Party”s Chief Minister to head Rajasthan, Rajyavardhan Rathore said that it would be the decided by the party, when the results are declared. In Rajasthan, the counting of the votes for the Assembly Elections 2023, began early at 8 am today. The results for the 199 assembly constituencies in the state are to be announced soon.
Ahead of the declaration of results in the state, the Lok Sabha MP displayed a picture of sure victory. He added that the elections were a battle between the “massive governance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi” and the “misgovernance of the Congress”, reported the NDTV. The MP, further said that in Rajasthan, his party would win gaining a huge majority.
“It is an exciting day. It”s a contest between the massive governance of PM Modi and vs massive misgovernance of the Congress. We are confident that the BJP will form the government with a vast number of seats,” he said, while speaking to NDTV.
The BJP’s focus on the election campaigns has been centered on the state’s “anti-incumbency” wave while the Congress’s focus could be seen in breaking down the Rajasthan jinx, to return to power.
Rajyavardhan Rathore also said, pointing out that, large number of people have come out to cast their vote which signifies that the people of the state want a change. In the exit polls which were conducted, the BJP showed a sight movement over the Congress party, which is the ruling government in Rajasthan. Though this was the case, Mr. Rathore was of the view that the BJP would have a win with a huge majority and that there would not be a close contest between the parties. The exit poll results were out on November 30th.
On this he said, “no. 2 is about exit polls, how many people can they actually deploy, in comparison to booth workers. We had one at every booth. Our feedback is more informative than these exit polls.”
After saying that the leadership of the party would announce the name of the Chief Minister, when the results are out, when the BJP wins, he concluded saying that, “everything comes at the right time. Once the results are out, the party leadership will decide. It is a team effort, a collective effort, somebody will lead. Party will decide at the right time.”
