Rajasthan Election Results: BJP's Dr Prem Chand Bairwa Wins Dudu

After a long see-saw battle, results for Dudu assembly constituency of Rajasthan are finally out. BJP leader Dr. Prem Chand Bairwa has won from the Dudu assembly seat with a margin of 35299 votes. Dr. Prem Chand Bairwa defeated Congress” Babulal Nagar.

Dudu  is one of constituencies of Rajasthan Legislative Assembly in the Ajmer Lok Sabha constituency. Dudu Constituency covers all voters from Dudu Tehsil and part of Phagi Tehsil four ILRCs included – Phagi, Chauru, Mandor and Nimera. There are 229,085 voters in this 52.55% males and 47.45% females.which includes 1,18,761male  voters, and 1,10,324 female voters.

Dudu recorded a voter turnout of 76.85%. In 2013 the turnout was 75.45, and in 2008 it was 70.4.

In 2018 Babulal Nagar, then an independent candidate, won with 68769 votes. Bharatiya Janata Party”s Dr. Prem Chand Bairwa became second with 53990votes. In 2013 Dr Premchand Bairwa of Bharatiya Janata Party won the seat by a margin of 33,720 (22.43%). Dr Premchand Bairwa secured 57.36% of the total votes polled.Hazari Lal Nagar of Indian National Congress became second with 52519 votes.

Indian National Congress”s Babu Lal Nagar won in 2008 Assembly elections with a margin of 5,313 votes (4.15%), registering 49.47% of the total votes polled.

The BJP seized control from the Congress in Rajasthan on December 3 by securing a decisive majority and becoming the primary party beyond the halfway threshold in the tightly contested Assembly election. The BJP claimed victory in 115 of the 200 seats up for grabs, while the Congress trailed significantly with 69 seats.  Along with Rajasthan, the Assembly elections were held in four other states including Madhya Pradesh, Telangana, Mizoram and Chhattisgarh. The results of other three states have also been announced today.
