Jaswant Singh Yadav of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) won the Behror seat in the 2023 Rajasthan Assembly election. The BJP candidate got 70400 votes, which was 40.03 percent of the total votes polled in the constituency. Jaswant Singh Yadav defeated Baljeet Yadhav of the Rashtriya Janata Sena by a margin of 17,223 votes. Baljeet Yadav was able to receive only 53,177 votes, which was 30.24 percent of the total votes polled. Congress candidate Sanjay Yadav came in third by securing 46,668 votes. A total of 1,75,866 votes were cast here, out of which 1091 were polled for NOTA.
Notably, Baljeet Yadav was the outgoing member of the Rajasthan legislative assembly from the Behror constituency. In the 2018 Rajasthan assembly elections, Baljeet Yadav won the seat with 37755 votes. He defeated Ramachandra Yadav of the Indian National Congress (INC) by a margin of 3836. In 2013, Jaswant Singh Yadav of the BJP emerged victorious in the Behror constituency by beating Baljeet Yadav by a margin of 18585 votes, which was 12.98 percent of the total votes polled in the constituency.
Behror is part of Kot-Behror district and Alwar Lok Sabha constituency. Behror shares its borders with three other assembly constituencies in the state of Rajasthan. It includes Mundawar, Bansur, and Kotputli.
