Rajasthan Election Results: Prashant Sharma Wins Amber Assembly

The INC candidate Prashant Sharma won in Amber constituency election by securing 108914 votes. He defeated BJP candidate Sathish Poonia, previously elected candidate in the 2018 assembly election .Satish Poonia secured 99822 votes and lost by a margin of 9092 votes. Vinod Jat, Rashtriya Loktantrik Party candidate came in third position by securing a total of 4326 votes.

The Amber constituency result shows comeback of Prashant Sharma and Congress.

The Rajasthan state assembly election was held on 25 November, 2023 to elect 199 of 200 members. The election for remaining 1 seat was adjoined .

The Amber assembly constituency is part of Jaipur district.

In 2018, Amber legislative assembly constituency had total of 247549 electors. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Satish Poonia won and became the MLA from Amber constituency. He secured a total of 93132 votes. Indian National Congress candidate Prashant Sharma stood second by securing 79856 votes. He lost by a margin of 13276 votes.

In 2013, Amber legislative assembly constituency had total 207147 electors. National People’s Party candidate Navin Pilania won and became MLA. He secured a total of 51103 votes. Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Satish Poonia stood second by securing 50774 votes. He lost by a margin of  329 votes.

In 2008, Amber legislative assembly constituency had total 183981 electors. Indian National Congress candidate Ganga Sahay won and became MLA from this seat. He secured a total of 53179 votes. Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Naveen Pilania stood second by securing 49382 votes. He lost by a margin of 3797 votes.

Over all, according to the latest report of Rajasthan assembly election, out of total 119 seats BJP won 115 seats and INC secured 69 seats. Along with Rajasthan, the assembly elections were held in four other states including Madhya Pradesh, Telangana, Chhattisgarh and Mizoram. The results of these four states was also announced today except for Mizoram. The results of Mizoram will be announced on December 4.
