Rajasthan Election Results: Sanjay Kumar Wins Baseri Assembly

Counting of votes in Baseri constituency has come to end. INC candidate Sanjay Kumar has won by securing 86145 votes with a vote margin of 27110. BJP candidate Sukhram came in second securing 59035 votes. This is the second time in a row that BJP has lost the Baseri constituency. Independent candidate Khilad Lal Bairwa, chairman of the Rajasthan scheduled castes commission came third securing 1366 votes. The total valid votes are 151356.

The Rajasthan assembly election was held on 25th November 2023 for 199 seats out of 200. Baseri assembly constituency is part of Dholpur district and is reserved for candidates belonging to the scheduled castes.

In 2013, Baseri constituent assembly had total of 150174 electors and total valid vote was 105155. Rani Silautia of BJP won against Chhitaria of National People”s Party (NPEP) in 2013 assembly elections. Rani Silautia secured total 38678 votes and Chhitaria secured total 32930 votes. He lost by a margin of 5748 votes. INC‘s Om Prakash came third securing 19832 votes.

In 2018, INC candidate Khiladi Lal Bairwa won by securing total 54297 votes. Chhitariya Lal Jatav of BJP came second securing 36741 votes. He lost with a margin 17556 votes. Independent candidate Sukhram Koli came third securing 18593 votes. The total electorate was 185695 in 2018, of which 100191 were male, 85504 were female.

Overall, according to the latest report, out of the total 200 seats, BJP won in 115 seats while INC won in 69 seats. Along with Rajasthan, the assembly elections were held in four other states including Madhya Pradesh, Telangana, Chhattisgarh and Mizoram. The results of these states was also announced today except for Mizoram. The results of Mizoram will be announced on December 4.
