BJP candidate Laxman Singh Yadav has won from Revari defeating Indian National Congress’s Chiranjeev Rao. Laxman Singh has polled 83,474 votes compared to Congress candidate.
Rewari is one of the 90 assembly constituencies of Haryana. The seat classified as urban, falls in the Rewari district of Haryana. Chiranjeev Rao of Congress, Laxman Singh Yadav of BJP and Satish Yadav are the major candidates contesting for the seat.
In the 2019 assembly election, Chiranjeev Rao of INC won in this seat defeating Sunil Kumar of BJP by a margin of 1,317 which was 00.84% of the total votes cast for the seat. In 2014 assembly election, Chiranjeev Rao of INC won in this seat defeating Sunil Kumar of BJP by a margin of 1,317 which was 00.84% of the total votes cast for the seat.
As per the election commission data, the estimated voter turn out in the constituency was 65.6%. During the 2019 Haryana Assembly election, BJP emerged victorious, bagging 40 of the 90 seats. The BJP formed the government in coalition with Dushyant Chautala-led JJP, which managed to win 10 seats. Meanwhile, the Congress party received 31 seats and the remaining were taken by INLD, Haryana Lokhit Party and independent candidate.
