The key candidates included Manish Grover from BJP, and Bharat Bhushan Batra from the Indian National Congress, along with several independent candidates.
In the previous 2019 election, Bharat Bhushan Batra of the INC won the seat, defeating Manish Kumar Grover of the BJP by a margin of 2,735 votes. The constituency has a history of shifting results.
During the 2019 Haryana Assembly election, BJP emerged victorious, bagging 40 of the 90 seats. The BJP formed the government in coalition with Dushyant Chautala-led JJP, which managed to win 10 seats.
