Suresh Damu Bhole, fondly called Rajumama, is the Jalgaon District chief of the BJP. On receiving the party ticket from the Jalgaon City assembly segment for the third time, BJP leader Suresh Damu Bhole extended gratitude to the party and said that he would work towards winning the seat and work on the policy of the party.

“We will work towards winning the seat. Our three principles are service, sacrifice and dedication. We will serve the people and work on the policy of the party. Our ideologies of party and to work for country, society, party and ourselves. We will work on that principle,” ANI quotes, as Suresh Bhole is saying.

In the 2014 Assembly polls, Bhole garnered 88,363 votes. He defeated Shiv Sena candidate Sureshkumar Jain by a margin of 42,314 votes. In 2019, he maintained the seat by defeating Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) candidate Abhishek Shantaram Patil by a comfortable margin of 64,846 votes.

Jalgaon City Assembly Constituency, which belonged to Jalgaon District, is one of the six assembly segments of Jalgaon Lok Sabha Constituency. Prior to 2014, the BJP had never won from the constituency. In the 2014 polls, the saffron party wrested the seat and maintained the position in 2019 as well. In the upcoming polls, the party hopes to continue their winning streak with Bhole.

The 288 Assembly seats in Maharashtra will go to polls on November 20. The ruling Mahayuti alliance in the state consists – the BJP, the Shiv Sena (Eknath Shinde), and the Ajit Pawar-led NCP and the opposition, Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA), comprises the Shiv Sena (UBT), Congress, and NCP (Sharadchandra Pawar).

As election dates are coming closer, the Mahayuti alliance and Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) are engaged in intense poll preparations. The Maharashtra Assembly elections mark the first after the Shiv Sena and NCP parties split in June 2022 and July 2023, respectively.
