Telangana Congress Candidate Slaps Woman During Election campaign

The Senior congress leader and party candidate from Nizamabad Lok Sabha constituency T. Jeevan Reddy is now embroiled in controversy following an incident where he slapped a woman.

The video of the former minister slapping a woman is now being widely circulated. The woman was said to be slapped when she expressed her intention to vote for the ‘flower’ symbol in the upcoming May 13 election, reports Times of India.

The woman has been identified as a worker under the rural employment guarantee scheme. The unfortunate incident took place in a village in the Armur Assembly segment when the Congress candidate was campaigning along with some other leaders.

The woman alleged that she has voted for Congress in the recent assembly election but she is not getting the pension.

The Congress candidate was accompanied by P. Vinay Kumar Reddy, who lost the Assembly election from Armur. Armur is one of the seven Assembly segments under Nizamabad Lok Sabha seat. For the upcoming election, the Congress has fielded Reddy against the incumbent MP, Dharmapuri Arvind of the BJP.
