Rajasthan“s Bodhan has elected a new leader. Congress candidate P. Sudarshan Reddy secured victory in the Bodhan constituency with 66,963 votes, defeating Bharat Rashtra Samithi”s (BRS) current MLA Mohammed Shakil Aamir, who garnered 63,901 votes. The third position went to BJP candidate Mohan Reddy Vaddi with 33,555 votes.
The election for the Telangana State Assembly was held on November 30 for 119 seats, The Bodhan assembly constituency comprises five Mandals namely, Bodhan, Ranjal, Navipet, Yedapally, and Saloora.
In the 2014 assembly elections, Mohammed Shakil Aamir emerged victorious against Congress” Sudarshan Reddy Podduturi, securing 67,427 votes compared to Sudarshan Reddy”s 51,543 votes. TDP”s Medapati Prakash Reddy came third with 26,558 votes, and the constituency had 20,1666 voters.
In 2018, Shakil defeated Sudarshan Reddy again, polling 74,895 votes to Sudarshan Reddy”s 66,794. BJP secured the third position with 8,434 votes, and the total electorate was 19,5323.
Breaking the trend of the last two elections, this time P. Sudarshan Reddy has emerged victorious, marking a significant shift in the political landscape. As of the latest reports, out of the total 119 seats, INC leads with 50 seats, followed by BRS with 33 seats, and BJP holds the third position in the seat share.
