Released in 2004, Autograph remains one of Tamil cinema’s most cherished films. This film also served as a precursor to director Premkumar’s 96, which explored the theme of school days and first love.
Autograph was not just a commercial success but also a critically acclaimed masterpiece, which bagged multiple awards, including three National Awards as Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment, Best Lyrics (Pa Vijay), and Best Female Playback Singer (KS Chithra). It also received three Tamil Nadu State Awards for the Best Director, Best Female Playback Singer (KS Chithra) and Best Film.
