With a full batch of youngsters and an interesting storyline, this film is the third film directed by Dhanush. Naturally, expectations are high by fans for the Raayan director.

Meet the cast of young-generation actors
The film introduces Pavish, who is making his Kollywood debut along with young stars Anikha Surendran, Priya Prakash Varrier, Mathew Thomas, and Siddhartha Shankar. This twisted tale of love and breakup is set to portray the reality of modern love with the blend of romance, comedy and drama.
The cast also includes other experienced actors like Sarath Kumar, Saranya Ponvannan, Venkatesh Menon, Rabiya Khatoon, Ramya Ranganathan, Anbu Thasan, and Sathish, among others.

What is NEEK all about?
At the beginning of the trailer, Dhanush says, “It’s a usual love story.” But how usual is it? This Gen Z drama introduces two young couples, with the male lead aspiring to be a chef and another couple preparing for their wedding. As the plot unfolds, both narratives connect, bringing unexpected twists. With the concepts of love, breakup, marriage, ambition and more, the film promises to explore the Gen Z love with interesting twist and turns.
NEEK: A Dhanush Directorial
Nilavuku En Mel Ennadi Kobam marks the third film by actor-director Dhanush after Pa Pandi and Raayan. The project was initially announced in 2016 and it was to be directed by Soundarya Rajinikanth, with Dhanush in the lead role. However, due to unforeseen circumstances, the film was shelved.
In December 2023, Dhanush revived the project. This time, donning the director’s hat himself. Produced under the banners of Wunderbar Films and RK Productions, the film commenced principal photography in December 2023.
Director Dhanush’s special appearance
Dhanush is making a special extended cameo appearance in his directorial, NEEK. And the actor has taken up an interesting role as a Cupid in the film.

A GV Prakash Musical
The song tracks of the film, like Golden Sparrow, Yedi, Kadhal Fail and others, have been trending online since their release. The amazing tracks were composed by ace music director GV Prakash. The film marks the first collaboration of Dhanush (as a director) with GV Prakash.
However, GV Prakash and Dhanush have a long association, making this their 8th film together after Polladhavan, Asuran, Maaran, Vaathi, Aadukalam, Mayakkam Enna, and Captain Miller.
