Actor Akhil Mishra who is well known for his role as librarian, Dubey in  Amir Khan starrer 3 Idiots dies in an accident. He was 67. He passed away falling in the kitchen. Mr. Mishra was survived by wife-actor, Suzanne Bernert. While the incident happened, Ms. Bernert was shooting a film in Hyderabad, ET Times reports.

Report says that he was working in the kichen and got slipped. “It was an accident. He was found injured on the floor in the kitchen and died in the hospital. And now the body has been taken for autopsy. We are waiting for the reports, ” IANS reports.

Ms. Bernart returned home soon hearing the news. His body has been sent for post-mortem and arrangements are carrying out. “My heart is broken, my second half is gone,” Ms. Bernart shared.

The actor was unwell for some time due to blood pressure- issues, Indian Express reports from a closer source to the couple.

The actor has been seen in films like Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi, Don, Gandhi My Father, and Shikhar among many others. He was also part of television shows including “Pradhanmantri,” “Uttaran,” “Udaan,” “Shrimaan Shrimati,” and “C.I.D.” Among them, the character of Umed Singh Bundela in the show “Uttaran” gave a distinctive mark in his career.

Mr. Mishra married German actress Ms.Bernert on February 3, 2009, and later they got married again in a traditional ceremony conducted on September 30, 2011. The couple worked together in the movie “Kram,” the TV series “Mera Dil Dewaana” (Doordarshan), and also shared the stage. Besides, they have also associated for a Short Film titled “Majnu ki Juliet,”  in which aside from acting, Mr. Mishra had wrote and directed as well.

Ms. Bernart was also familiar for television viewers through shows Savdhaan India, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai, Kasautii Zindagii Kay, Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat,  and Porus.
