Actress Ruhani Sharma expressed her disappointment after receiving severe backlash for her intimate scenes in her film Agra. On a social media note, the actress mentioned that she “stands by her choices.”
Directed by Khanu Bhel, the upcoming Indian drama film was screened at Cannes Festival 2023. However, Ruhani Sharma, who plays a key role in the film, was brutally trolled online after clips of her intimate scenes from the movie went viral.
Addressing the issue, the actress expressed her disappointment, the actress penned a long note on her X handle asking the users to respect the team’s hard work on making the film.

In the official statement, she wrote “Hey Everyone! I’ve been holding back, but I need to address something that’s been weighing heavily on me since my film Agra was leaked. To say I’m disappointed is an understatement. It’s heartbreaking to see our months of hard work, dedication, and passion being disregarded in this way. Creating an art film is an intense journey filled with countless challenges, sleepless nights, and unwavering commitment.”
The note continued, “What’s even more disheartening is how quick some are to judge without understanding the blood, sweat, and tears that go into bringing such a project to life. Agra isn’t just another film’s a labor of love that premiered at Cannes Film Festival 2023, a prestigious honor for any artist. The film has been internationally acclaimed, winning several awards and receiving recognition for the very thing we strive for pushing the boundaries of world cinema.”

The actress also made her choice clear as she says “I stand by my choices, and I’m incredibly proud of this film and the entire team that made it happen.
