Tamil superstar Rajinikanth met Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav today. The Jailer actor met the SP leader in Lucknow after he met Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath yesterday and famously ‘touched’ his feet of which the video went viral. In a photo shared by Akhilesh Yadav on X (formerly Twitter), the former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister was seen hugging the South superstar whose latest release Jailer is making waves across the country.
In a short note shared on the X platform, Akhilesh Yadav, also the Opposition leader in the Uttar Pradesh state assembly, wrote about his memories from Mysore where he was an engineering student.

“When hearts meet, people embrace. During my engineering studies in Mysore, the happiness I used to feel seeing Rajinikanth ji on the screen is still intact. We met in person 9 years back and have been friends ever since…,” the SP leader wrote.
The Petta and Darbar actor arrived in Lucknow two days ago for the screening of his film “Jailer”, which was attended by UP Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya.
