The Bollywood star Ajay Devgn’s action sequel Singham Again has been rescheduled to hit the big screens as a Diwali treat for the audiences. The fifth installment in the Rohit Shetty cop universe was originally scheduled to be released on August 15, but along with major films on the lane, the action flick has been rescheduled to avoid any clashes.

Singham Again is the third film in the trilogy to the superhit movie Singham released in 2011, starring Kajal Aggarwal and Prakash Raj in lead roles. The next film in the line was Singham Returns, released in 2014, starring Kareena Kapoor Khan, Amole Gupte, Anupam Kher, Dayanand Shetty, among others. Both the projects were box office hits.

The third film, Singham Again, boasts of an impressive ensemble cast with big names from the industry, apart from Devgn, such as Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff, Arjun Kapoor, and Jackie Shroff.

Announcing on Instagram, the Maidan actor wrote, “#SinghamAgain roaring this Diwali 2024.”

On thursday, during the trailer launch of his upcoming film Auron Mein Kaha Dum Tha, the actor hinted at the delay in the release of the sequel. On being asked about the project, he said “We are not sure because the works are still ongoing, it is not yet completed. A little bit of shooting is yet to be done. So we are not in a hurry. As soon as we are ready we will decide.” 

Independence Day will be the biggest treat for the audiences with the release of the major films, the makers of Singham have announced the new date to avoid the biggest clash with other highly-anticipated films including Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandana’s Pushpa 2, John Abraham, and Sharvari starrer Vedaa, and Akshay Kumar and Taapsee Pannu’s Khel Khel Mein.
