Actor Akshay Kumar visited Haji Ali Dargah in Mumbai to offer prayers. Besides that, the actor also donated his contribution to the renovation work at the Dargah.

Akshay, who is waiting for the release of his third film of the year, visited the Dargah which is under renovation, and offered Rs 1.21 crore for the works. The videos of the actor visiting the Dargah have surfaced online and received praise for his generosity.

The information about the actor’s contribution to the pilgrimage was shared by Mohammad Ahmed Taher, Administrative officer of Haji Ali Trust. In his official statement, the authority shared, “With the Haji Ali Dargah’s renovation underway, Padmashri Akshay Kumar, a true Mumbaikar, was the quickest to respond with great warmth and devotion. On Thursday, he generously took responsibility for a section of the renovation expenses, amounting to Rs1,21,00,000.”

The administrative officer also shared that prayers were offered for the departed souls of Akshay’s parents, Late Aruna Bhatia and Late Hari Om Bhatia. He also expressed his deepest gratitude towards the actor’s generous contribution.

Previously, Akshay also offered food to people on the streets of Mumbai. A video of him serving food to people outside his Mumbai house is being widely shared on social media.

On the work front, Akshay has been looking forward to the release of Khel Khel Mein. Starting the year with a handful of projects, this film will be his third this year with earlier releases like Bade Miyan Chote Miyan and Sarfira not meeting the mark. Even though the other releases have failed to impress the box office and the audiences, the actor is expecting a change with this Independence day release.

The film also stars Vaani Kapoor, Taapsee Pannu, Ammy Virk, and Fardeen Khan, among others. Khel Khel Mein will clash with other major releases including Stree 2 and Vedaa.
