Fans eagerly waiting to buy tickets for Coldplay‘s India concert were left disappointed when BookMyShow’s website and app crashed on Sunday (today). The ticket sale was supposed to go live at 12 PM but was delayed due to technical issues. The website and app were inaccessible for about 18 minutes which frustrated many users and some users faced issues booking tickets on the app as well. It was said that those who tried to book tickets have been added to the queue and confronted technical issues while completing the process.

Ticket prices range from Rs 2,500 to Rs 12,500, with options for Rs 3,000, Rs 3,500, Rs 4,000, Rs 4,500, Rs 9,000, and Rs 9,500. The highest price for tickets is Rs 35,000 for the lounge seats which come with an elevated viewing space and food and beverage services. Each transaction is limited to a maximum of four tickets. Many users claimed that error messages flashed while they were trying to book the tickets via the app.

On the contrary, some said that the app crash seems to be their marketing strategy as these things are done to create unreal hype for the show through media coverage, social media trending and hashtags.

Coldplay’s highly-anticipated return to India after nine years is part of their Music of the Spheres World Tour. They will perform at Mumbai’s DY Patil Stadium on Saturday, January 18, 2025 and Sunday, January 19, 2025.
