A unique and exciting collaboration never seen before in Malayalam cinema has just been announced, bringing together three acclaimed names in the industry for a film that promises both devotional and mythical.
Titled “Chottanikkara Lakshmikutty”, the film is based on the spiritual legacy of Chottanikkara Amma and is helmed by director M. Mohanan, written by Abhilash Pillai, and produced by Gokulam Gopalan under the banner of Sree Gokulam Movies.
This powerful trio unites talents from two recent successes — Abhilash Pillai, the writer of the devotional blockbuster “Malikappuram”, and M. Mohanan, the director of the critically acclaimed “Aravindante Athidhikal”. Joining them is Gokulam Gopalan, one of the most respected producers in Indian cinema.

The co-producers of Chottanikkara Lakshmikutty are Baiju Gopalan and V.C. Praveen, with Krishnamoorthy serving as the executive producer. Public relations is managed by Pratheesh Shekar. The film is expected to feature some of the finest talents from South Indian cinema and is set to begin shooting soon.

Speaking about the project, Gokulam Gopalan shared these heartfelt words: “Some films are not just projects — they are a divine calling. With the blessings of Chottanikkara Amma, Sree Gokulam Movies is beginning a spiritually rooted film journey for Malayalam audiences.
Having the writer of Malikappuram and the director of Aravindante Athidhikal on board, Chottanikkara Lakshmikutty will take today’s generation through the roots of faith and divinity. This is not just a film. This is an experience. Perhaps even a destiny in my cinematic journey,” he added. The producers have assured that more updates, including the main cast and crew, will be shared with the audience in the coming days.
