Comedy Entertainer 'Once Upon A Time In Kochi' Hits Big Screen Today

Malayalam comedy entertainer “Once Upon a Time in Kochi” debuting Mubin Raffi, the son of noted filmmaker Muhammed Rafi, will hit the big screen today, May 31. Helmed by Nadirsha and written by Rafi, the movie casts Arjun Ashokan and Shine Tom Chacko, Jaffar Idukki, Johny Antony, and Baiju Santhosh in pivotal roles.

Devi Sanjay, well-noticed in Njan Prakashan, plays the role of heroine. Produced by Kalandoor, the movie is released on the banner of Kalandoor Entertainment. The movie marks the first collaboration between Rafi and Nadirsha, introducing a new actor to the industry.The 2022 direct OTT release Eesho was the last project of Nadirsha.

Notably, the film”s teaser, which was released on May 27 by the makers, does not provide much information about the plot. Looking at the trailer, one can assume an engaging entertainment with a captivating plot, with a lot of twists, comedy, and thrills. Arjun Ashokhan appears as a police officer named  Anand Das who is investigating a drug case involving a couple played by Mubin M Rafi and Devika Sanjay. 

Going by the technical crew, Shaji Kumar manages the cinematography while Shameer Muhammed performs the editing. The musical composition was carried out by Hesham Abdul Wahab. 

The film, originally slated to be released on February 23, was postponed several times.
