According to a viewer, even the action scenes were jinxed to impress and were found to be boring along with other key draw factors. He wrote on X that the audience was visibly restless and checking their watches due to the slow pace.

Despite receiving mixed reviews, some moviegoers have praised Kondal as a high-octane commercial entertainer. One such reviewer highlighted the film’s exceptional action sequences and outstanding performances from the entire cast. The viewer also commended the film’s technical aspects, particularly the visuals and VFX described as “technically brilliant” and “so good”. The underwater scene and final act were also praised for making an impact in the climax.

Some noticed that the the background music was deemed too loud and the runtime felt longer than necessary for the story. They also criticised the screenplay saying that it failed to captivate audience attention and for being flat in most sequences.
