It was indeed a crucial match for both teams, as they were equally waiting for their maiden title. Preity Zinta, in her red and white kurta, was seen approaching Shreyas Iyer with her eyes all red from emotion. Fans consoled the actor on X with their messages.

One of the users wrote, “A trophy goes to the person who was there since the start, since 2008. Unlike other owners who just showed up this season and pretended to be always there, Preity Zinta came every year, travelling miles just to support her team through thick and thin. She was always there at our lowest. Still never trolled anyone, respected and appreciated her fans always. She deserves the world. STAY STRONG PZ!! WE WILL DEFINITELY WIN ONE DAy(sic).”

One of the actress’s fans wrote, “I don’t even watch IPL, but I still want Punjab Kings to win… just to see her smile.” While another added, “Feeling sad for Preity Zinta… even when has been waiting for a long time! Well-played, Punjab Kings!”

As co-owner since 2008, Zinta has consistently demonstrated her dedication to the team, both on and off the field. Throughout the season, she has been a constant presence at matches, offering vocal support and engaging with fans.
