Malayalam film industry can easily be termed as one of the most sought-after of the Indian cinema. And of course, Mohanlal, the leading star of the industry, is proud to list out the contributions to the Indian cinema. At the Trailer Launch of his next film, Barroz, the star said though Malayalam might be a small marketing entity, but is first in many aspects.
Barroz is Mohanlal’s directorial debut. The star said it was his ambition to do something special for his industry, and that is how Barroz came out. The film is offers entire 3D experience.
When asked about how he is fulfilling the expectation on him in his directorial debut, he said though Malayalam films have only started to go pan India recently, the industry was first to introduce the first processed 70 mm in Indian film industry, the first 3D film, first co-production, and so on.
Padayottam was the first indigenously produced 70mm film in the industry.Mohanlal was also among the ensemble of casts in the film. The first 3D movie of Indian cinema industry was My Dear Kuttichathan (Little goblin). Vanaprastham, was the first film to be co-produced in the industry. The film was co-produced by Mohanlal and Peirre Assouline. It was released in tow language, both in Malayalam, and French.
Barroz is a fantasy thriller which is all poised to give a spectacular 3D experience . The film revolves around the timeless themes of friendship and loyalty. The film aims to elevate Indian cinema to higher heights on global level by delivering an entire 3D experience.
Apart from Mohanlal, the film also features Mayo Rao West and June Vig. Renowned Santosh Sivan crafted the film’s cinematography, promising spectacular visuals. The film has been produced by Antony Perumbavoor under Aashirwad Cinemas in collaboration with Pen Studios,
Set for a grand release in multiple languages including Hindi, Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil, and Kannada, Barroz will hit silver screen on December 27.
