Ghaati Reviews: Anushka Shetty's Intense Performance Can't Save Lagging Pace, Poor Script
Reviews are pouring in on social media as the filmgoers are coming up with mixed observations — both negative and positive — after watching the film. Many lauded Anushka Shetty for her intense performance, though the movie struggled due to a weak script, low pace and flat music preventing it from becoming a potential box office hit.

A reviewer, Suresh Kavirayani, opined that the director, Krish Jagarlamudi, failed to carry realistic storytelling and authentic emotions. He noted that the film neither has the director’s trademark depth nor the authenticity he expected from the filmmaker. “Instead of a strong narrative, #Ghaati is filled with mindless, force-fitting action sequences,” the reviewer added.
The reviewer further observed that the film dragged endlessly in several portions. “To make things worse, many action blocks look like they were staged only to highlight Anushka Shetty, while the emotional connect is completely absent,” he stated, highlighting that Anushka, however, outshined in her performance.

The scenic hills, lush greenery, and waterfalls have been beautifully captured on screen. On the whole, Ghaati is a forgettable and unbearable film by Krish. Rating: 1/5,” kavirayani wrote on his X handle.
My review of #Ghaati
Director Krish has always been known as a sensible filmmaker. Be it Gamyam, Vedam, Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum, or Kanche, his films carried realistic storytelling and authentic emotions. Another user echoed a similar view that the movie could have been a bit more real, adding that if it was, it could have been a real gamechanger for many things. The reviewer, Kausalya Suharika R, pointed out that Ghaati is a visceral tribal cultural story that can be an on-screen, a female-action drama, a story with a real impact for a long time.
He, too, pointed out the director’s ignorance of the representation of an entire tribal culture and the people living in it. “It’s almost like taking the city-mafia setting in the Eastern Ghats and nothing new about it.” Except for good acting by all the actors, special mention of #ChaitanyaRaoMadadi and a few highs of killings, the movie is forgettable,” Suharika R wrote.
#Ghaati could have been real.! Could have been a real gamechanger for many things, a visceral tribal cultural story that can be on screen, female-action drama, a story with a real impact for a long time. Although I want to appreciate the vision of #KrishJagarlamudi, his ignorance… pic.twitter.com/KEY9pQ3RAe
