Hanumankind, the Indian rapper climbed up the global top list of Spotify with his sensational hit track Big Dawgs. Capturing hearts with the composition and fusion of culture and rap, the song has placed itself in the 9th position on Spotify Global Top 50 chart, beating Kendrick Lamar’s Not Like Us diss track which sat at #11.

The Kerala-born rapper has been making headlines with his musical genius Big Dawgs, displaying his unique style. Creating its own fan base and trend, the song has garnered more the 30 million views on YouTube just in a month. The music video, shot in the wall of death, has gained widespread acclaim for its exhilarating stunts, and direction but especially keeping an Indian essence in its core. The video has also heightened itself to the top 4th place on trending global music videos.

Released on July 9, the globally acclaimed rap song was directed by Bijoy Shetty. The song has not only garnered numbers but also ignited a culture. As the rapper says, “Pushing culture baby, got that product you can’t measure.”

Hanumankind took the rap world by storm by creating a global impact and now has become a key player in the international hip-hop field. With placing itself at the 9th position on the Spotify Global Top 50 chart, now Big Dawgs is aiming to beat Billie Eilish’s Guess Featuring Billie Eilish, which is at the 8th position.

On August 10 (IST), Hanumankind’s viral track breached the Top 10 ranks on the Spotify Global Top 50 listings (updated daily), climbing up to #9.  The song featuring Kalmi currently has 39 million streams and debuted at 57 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts.

Initially mistaken for a Western rapper, Sooraj Cherukat popularly known as Hanumankind, surprised fans with his Malayalam origin and innovative approach. The music video, shot in Ponnani in Kerala, offers raw and energetic visuals. Inspired by South American vibes, the song rhythmically incorporates the Western vibe without foregoing the root culture. The cinematography of the video also became a highlight which made it a standout across social media.
