HiLite Group’s Palaxi Cinemas To Open With Mohanlal’s Malaikottai Vaaliban
Palaxi Cinemas, the newest venture of HiLite Group, South India’s well-known real estate brand, is set to redefine the cinema-going experience. Palaxi Cinemas will open to the public on Thursday with the release of Lijo Jose Pellissery’s Mohanlal starrer, Malaikottai Vaaliban. The booking for the shows are available on HiLite mall app and bookmyshow.com now.
HiLite Group, which is known for constructing and running the first shopping mall in Kerala, will inaugurate the newest screens at its HiLite Mall in Kerala’s Kozhikode. In a recent press conference, HiLite Group assured that Palaxi Cinemas would be a spectacle for Kerala movie-goers, featuring state-of-the-art facilities.
“HiLite Group is entering this field with the aim of rewriting the cinema experience in the state through technological excellence, and Palaxi Cinemas hope to open up a new world of entertainment for Malayali moviegoers by providing them with the best visual experience,” said Group Chairman P Sulaiman.

The Group, which is led by Mr Sulaiman, who is the first realtor in the state who is known for delivering ‘assured rental returns’ for his clients, has set up eight screens in Palaxi Cinemas with a seating capacity of 1400 people, and equipped with the best digital systems like Dolby speakers, ATMOS system, 4K and 2K laser projectors.
Palaxi Cinemas have two signature screens with full recliner seats and an EPIQ screen in premium large format, which is a first in Kerala.
Apart from Kozhikode, the Group will be opening 40 more screens in Kochi, Thrissur, Chemmad, Thamarassery, Mannarkad, Nilambur and Kunnamkulam in Kerala.
HiLite Group, according to a statement, is entering the multiplex industry to fulfil the entertainment needs of its customers, after delivering Kerala”s first shopping mall; HiLite City, one of the largest townships in South India, and HiLite Business Park, one of the largest multi-purpose development projects in the state.
