Johnny Depp To Return As Captain Jack Sparrow In 'Pirates Of The Caribbean 6'?
If reports are to be believed, Johnny Depp’s iconic character Captain Jack Sparrow is set to return. After years of speculation, Depp appears to make a comeback to the blockbuster franchise Pirates of the Caribbean.
It has been eight years since the release of the last chapter, Dead Men Tell No Tale. And now, a new rumor has emerged claiming that Disney is quietly moving forward with a new installment for the action-adventure franchise.
As per reports, Walt Disney Studios is getting ready to begin production of the sixth movie Pirates of the Caribbean movie. But the timeline of the project and further details are yet to be announced by the makers.

Rumors about the film’s upcoming installment first appeared when Variety reported that Disney’s live-action film division was interested in getting another Pirates movie into production.
Further confirming the claims, Jerry Bruckheimer, the producer of the franchise, also stated that there were two scripts for Pirates 6, with one featuring Depp and the other taking the franchise in a different direction.
However, at the time, the actor’s involvement in the franchise was uncertain due to his ongoing legal battle with his ex-wife Amber Heard and his fallout with Disney. But a latest report suggests Depp’s return, a great treat for the fans of the franchise.
Depp has been a part of the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise since the first installment, The Curse of the Black Pearl, released in 2003. His portrayal of the eccentric pirate Captain Jack Sparrow earned him praise from critics and audiences and even an Academy Award nomination.

Depp reprised the role for each one of the film’s sequels, including Dead Man’s Chest, At World’s End, On Stranger Tides and Dead Men Tell No Tales, making him one of the few actors to have returned for every film in the franchise.
