Tollywood star Jr NTR and director Prashant Neel had earlier in 2022 announced their collaboration and now an exciting update has come from the filmmakers stating that their “upcoming film” will hit the theaters on January 9, 2026.

Sharing the poster on social media, the film’s production house, Mythri Movie Makers, announced its release date. “This time, the earth will tremble under his reign! #NTRNeel will step onto the soil on January 9th, 2026 MAN OF MASSES @tarak9999 #PrashanthNeel @MythriOfficial @NTRArtsOfficial (sic).”

The film’s, tentatively titled NTR31, opening ceremony is expected to be broadcast on various television and YouTube channels.

The Mythri movie makers along with the post have also shared photos from the pooja ceremony of the pan-Indian film. Several videos of the massive video launch are now surfacing on social media. In one of the video, the actor and the director is seen posing with their families.

After the announcement of the movie, it was speculated that the film would be titled Dragon, reports Indian Express. However, no official confirmation regarding the movie ‘title’ has been made.

According to the rumors, the full-fledged shooting is expected to commence in September 2024. Pre-production work has been underway for several months.

Meanwhile, Jr NTR will be soon seen in the Koratala Siva directorial Devara: Part 1, also starring Janhvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan.
