Actor Jr. NTR and director Prashanth Neel are collaborating for a mass entertainer, tentatively titled NTR-Neel. The project, which has caught the attention of the audience since its announcement, has been progressing in its production. As per the recent update, Jr.NTR will join the shoot on April 22.
After the massive success of Devara, Jr. NTR is now again cooking something explosive with director Neel. Since the announcement of the film, the expectation of the audience over the film is quite high, as it unites two legendary creators, NTR and Neel.

Marking the film’s progress, Mythri Movie Makers, the production house of the film, dropped an announcement today. Announcing NTR’s entry, the makers wrote on X, “#NTRNeel is entering its most explosive phase. Man of Masses @Tarak9999 steps into the destructive soil from April 22nd.”

The legendary director, the creative mind who redefined Telugu cinema with blockbuster franchises like KGF and Salaar and films like Bagheera, is now launching his next with the Devara star. This has excited fans, with many showering their love for the film on social media. One comment read, “Next big thing in Telugu cinema.”
NTR-NEEL Rumoured Storyline
The film is rumored to be inspired by the life of Zhao Wei, a notorious Chinese gangster who ruled the Golden Triangle region. In this project Jr. NTR will reportedly play a powerful mafia don who rises through the ranks amidst intense conflicts between rival gangs. The production of the film began in February 2025 at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad. The initial schedule featured an elaborate action sequence involving over 3,000 junior artists.

The film is expected to be a pan-Indian release, available in multiple languages including Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam and Kannada. As per the reports, the film is expected to hit theaters on January 9, 2026, coinciding with the Pongal festival.
