The makers of Kalamkaval, the much-awaited Malayalam thriller starring Mammootty and Vinayakan, have dropped the second look poster, and it’s nothing short of arresting.
Mammootty, ever the enigma, appears handsome, sharp, and intriguingly youthful, flashing a subtle smile with a bold moustache and a cleanly shaved face that adds depth to his mysterious persona.

The caption accompanying the poster reads: “Some faces raise questions… not answers.” That line alone sets the tone for what promises to be a layered and suspenseful narrative.

Directed by Jithin K Jose, Kalamkaval is shaping up to be a thriller drama, with a screenplay co-written by Jithin and Jishnu Sreekumar. The film is backed by Mammootty Kampany, in association with Wayfarer Films and Truth Global Films, and is expected to hit theatres in 2025.

The technical crew behind the film includes. Praveen Prabhakar, known for his crisp editing style, is in charge of post-production, while Mujeeb Majeed, whose background score in Kishkindha Kaandam received acclaim, will set the sonic atmosphere of the film.
Earlier this year, on February 15, the team released the first look poster, which showed Mammootty biting a cigarette in the middle of an intense face-off—giving fans a first glimpse of the intensity his character might carry. A silhouette of Vinayakan was also teased, further amplifying curiosity about the movie.
