The release of Asif Ali’s much-anticipated comedy-drama Abhyanthara Kuttavali has been postponed yet again, as it was previously scheduled for release on April 17, 2025.

The film’s director, Sethunath Padmakumar, confirmed to Timeline that a new release date will be announced within the next few days.

This marks the second time the release has been postponed—Abhyanthara Kuttavali was originally slated to arrive in theatres on April 3.

The film is the directorial debut of Sethunath Padmakumar and features Asif Ali in the role of Sahadevan, a young man facing trial for allegedly abusing his wife over dowry.

Newcomer Thulasi plays the female lead, supported by a strong ensemble cast that includes Jagadish, Harisree Ashokan, Prem Kumar, Sidharth Bharathan, Azees Nedumangad, Vijayakumar, Balachandran Chullikkad, Anand Manmadhan, and Neeraja Rajendran.

The film is produced by Naisam Salam, with Ajay David Kachappilly as the cinematographer, Sobin K Soman as the editor, and music by Bijibal, Muthu, and Christy Joby. The recently released lyrical video of the song ‘Purusha Lokam’ has already started gaining attention online.

The official trailer, released last week on YouTube, has already crossed 1.5 million views, signalling high audience interest.

Asif Ali’s transformation into a seemingly ordinary yet layered character has been praised across social platforms, with fans eagerly awaiting its theatrical release.
