The Malayalam film industry is getting ready to witness a back-to-back cinematic projects by the two big ‘M’s’ of the industry: superstars Mammootty and Mohanlal. As the highly anticipated sequel L2: Empuraan is all set to create records at the box office in March, Mammootty has confirmed the release of his action thriller Bazooka in April.

The team Bazooka officially launched their 30-day countdown on March 11, confirming the release date of the action entertainer on April 10. Even though fans are getting excited to enjoy the thriller on screens, they also raised some concerns.

With Mohanlal’s L2: Empuraan hitting screens on March 27, Bazooka will reach the theatres just two weeks after the sequel’s release. This will initiate a major clash in the theatre allocation for the two big films.

Bazooka clashes with AK’s Good Bad Ugly

Expressing concern, a social media user said, “Pls release at least 400 screens in Kerala like Turbo.” Another comment questioned, “Release date is appropriate? Will the film get proper screen counts ? Already there will be an ‘Empuraan’ wave along with ‘Good bad ugly’. If the target is 100 crore+, a proper solo release at least in the mollywood circuit with appropriate promotion seems very essential.”

Directed by Adhik Ravichandran, the cast of Good Bad Ugly features Ajith Kumar in the lead role as AK, alongside Trisha Krishnan as Ramya. The film also includes veteran actors Prabhu, Prasanna, and Arjun Das in key roles. Sunil, Rahul Dev, and Yogi Babu add to the ensemble, bringing a mix of action and comedy. Shine Tom Chacko and B. S. Avinash are also part of the cast.
