As we inch closer to the release of the final installment of the famed spy series, Paramount Pictures has dropped the trailer for the biggest action film of the year and a moment that marks the culmination of an era.

Directed by Christopher McQuarrie from a screenplay he co-wrote with Erik Jendresen, the spy thriller brings back its agent, Ethan Hunt. In this franchise, Hunt goes on his most audacious mission to date as more betrayals and more secrets are exposed before him. This time he is getting ready again to fight a powerful rogue AI.
As the influence of AI spread across the globe, putting Hunt’s allies in danger, the agent decided to put his life on the deadliest mission yet again. And towards the end of the clip, Hunt also bids an emotional goodbye with the words, “I need you to trust me; one last time.”
In addition to Tom Cruise, the cast includes Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames, Vanessa Kirby, Hayley Atwell, Esai Morales, Shea Wigham, Greg Tarzan Davis and Pom Klementieff.
