Netflix never fails to entertain its audience. And to make this 2025 more interesting, the OTT streaming giant has announced its lineup of projects for this year through an exciting teaser.
The lineup promises some interesting new entrants, promising returns of older successes, and surprising new names entering the digital landscape of India. So let’s take a look at what awaits to surprise the audience.
1. Jewel Thief: The Heist Begins
First up, Netflix announced the digital debut of director Siddharth Anand, who helms Jewel Thief, headlined by actors Saif Ali Khan and Jaideep Ahlawat. The logline of the film reads, “A Jewel thief is hired by a powerful crime lord to steal the world’s most elusive diamond – The African Red Sun. His perfectly planned heist then takes a wild turn. Chaos, twists, and unexpected alliances unfold in this high-stakes race, making it a deadly game of deception and betrayal.”

2. Aap Jaisa Koi
Netflix also announced the Madhavan-Fatima Sana Shaikh love drama, Aap Jaisa Koi, which traces the lives of Shrirenu Tripathi and Madhu Bose, who might seem polar opposites, but as the old adage goes… opposites attract. It also marks the return of Madhavan to the romance genre after quite a few years.

3. Akka
Netflix collaborated with the sensational actress and National Award winner, Keerthy Suresh, and the extremely talented Radhika Apte to present an interesting thriller. Titled Akka, the synopsis read, “The matriarchy stands strong. A rebel plots their downfall. A girl from Pernuru seeks revenge against the Akkas.” The trailer promises the film to be a bloody actioner that doesn’t shy away from giving a new look to each of its actors, who look like they’ve taken to the challenge like a fish to water.

4. Dabba Cartel
The new series Dabba Cartel is set to offer a unique tale of a reluctant cartel: the lives of five middle-class women and their families are thrown into chaos when their low-key dabba service spirals into an unexpected venture—a high-stakes drug delivery operation.

5. Delhi Crime: Season 3
The most intriguing crime thriller is back. The web series featuring the ever-dependable trio of Shefali Shah, Rasika Dugal, and Rajesh Tailang is back for the third season, and they take on a formidable foe who is at the centre of a trafficking ring. This time the series also features Huma Qureshi and Sayani Gupta in pivotal roles.

6. Dhoom Dhaam
The comedy entertainer of Netflix, Dhoom Dhaam, is on board to offer chaos, action, comedy, and romance. Netflix introduced the newly wedded couple Koyal, a complete wild child with zero chill, and Veer, a timid momma’s boy and animal-loving veterinarian. Their stars have (somehow) aligned, but on their wedding day, the newlyweds find themselves in far-from-perfect situations. What follows is a madcap adventure, packed with a thrilling chase, quirky characters, and twists at every turn.

7. Rana Naidu: Season 2
If thieves are in town, so is thuggery, as Netflix announced the return of Rana Naidu with its second season. The real-life uncle-nephew duo of Venkatesh and Rana Daggubati are back in the game as there are the usual family troubles and the unusual return of a problem from the past. And who plays this problem? Well, it is Arjun Rampal who enters the world of the Naidus.

8. Dining With The Kapoors
Netflix will offer an exciting interaction between the members of the legendary Bollywood family, the Kapoors. The show, Dining With The Kapoors, will be offering the Kapoors engaging in unfiltered conversations, unending gossip, and unbelievable life stories.

9. Glory
Netflix’s Glory stars Pulkit Samrat, Divyenndu, and Suvinder Vicky. Is it Rocky? Is it Fighting with the Family? Well, we’ll know it quite soon, as the makers proclaim that sometimes… the road to sporting glory isn’t laid on just sweat and grime, but blood and brotherhood too.

10. The Great Indian Kapil Show: Season 3
It was also announced that Kapil Sharma’s The Great Indian Kapil Show will return with Season 3 this year.

11. Khakee: The Bengal Chapter
Offering a high-octane cop story, Netflix introduced another season but this time in West Bengal. The official synopsis of Khakee: The Bengal Chapter reads, “When upright cop Arjun Maitra takes on Kolkata’s feared don Bagha and his henchmen, he must battle a broken system and navigate bloody gang wars.”
Cast: Jeet Madnani, Prosenjit Chatterjee, Saswata Chatterjee, Chitrangada Sinha.
12. Koharra: Season 2
Kohrra, the multiple award-winning, powerful crime drama series, a whodunnit set in Punjab that delved into the complexities of society, is set to return for a second season. This time, the show will dive into another murder mystery with family dynamics, interpersonal secrets and the background of fog-filled Punjab at the helm.
Cast: Mona Singh and Barun Sobti.
13. Mandala Murders
Netflix and YRF Entertainment are joining hands to bring a few interesting projects to the streamer. The gripping and intense plot of Mandala Murders promises to weave an intriguing tale of deceit that is interconnected with a lot of things in the series’ world, and of course… fate. The logline reads, “The motive lies in the past; the madness lies in the method. In an unsolvable mystery, all roads lead to a secret society.” Who is behind this society? Who is killing? Why are they being killed? Vaani doesn’t have all the answers, but we can rest assured she would get there as the closing credits of Mandala Murders come up.

14. Nadaaniyan
Nadaaniyan, a young adult romantic drama that captures the magic, madness, and innocence of first love. At its heart are Piya, a bold and spirited girl from South Delhi, and Arjun, a determined middle-class boy from Noida. As their two completely different worlds collide, they embark on a journey filled with mischief, heart, and the sweet messiness of first love. The Karan Johar production will mark the Bollywood debut of Ibrahim Ali Khan.

15. Super Subbu
Rather funny and ‘super awkward’ life and times of Super Subbu is another exciting project lined up. Desperate for a job to ensure every other obstacle in his life disappears, Subbu has to double up as someone who has to teach about sex education and family planning in Makhipur, a place that prides itself on producing children like it is nobody else’s business. This marks the first Telugu series and hopefully the first of many for the streaming giant.
Cast: Sundeep Kishan, Mithila Palkar, Murli Sharma, Sampoornesh Babu, Brahmanandam.
16. Test
It is time for a Tamil entry into Netflix’s slate. The much-awaited directorial debut of producer Sashikanth of YNot Pictures. The teaser promises a gritty relationship drama built on the backdrop of cricket. Intense emotions seem to be the name of the game in Test, which was initially supposed to be a theatrical release but has circumvented the route to become a direct-to-OTT release.

17. The Royals
The Royals follows Aviraaj Singh (Ishaan Khatter), a carefree, polo-playing heir to the royal throne of Morpur, and Sophia Kanmani Shekhar (Bhumi Pednekar), a sharp, driven CEO of a luxury homestay startup. Their worlds collide when they are forced to team up—Aviraaj to save his financially struggling family and Sophia to protect her growing business from ruthless investors. As the two navigate their differences, sparks fly, insults are exchanged, and the chemistry between them sizzles.

18. Vir Das: Fool Volume
Netflix is bringing the acclaimed Indian stand-up comedian Vir Das on board with his fifth stand-up special titled Vir Das: Fool Volume. The teaser offers a glimpse into a sold-out show where Vir mixes stinging satire brimming with political overtones and the right amount of sarcasm brewing underneath it all with the hope that tomorrow’s India is always better than today’s.
19. Toaster
Featuring Rajkummar Rao and Sanya Malhotra, this rollercoaster comedy surrounding a toaster is packed with humor, chaos, and unexpected twists. The film follows a hilarious storyline where Rajkummar and Sanya’s characters present a toaster as a wedding gift. But when the wedding gets called off, Rajkummar’s character tries to get the toaster from the couple, triggering a series of mishaps.

20. The Ba***ds of Bollywood
Netflix reserved the best for last as it officially announced Aryan Khan’s much-awaited directorial debut, The Ba***ds of Bollywood. Even though major details about the show are kept under wraps, the launch of the show by Shah Rukh Khan is already creating a buzz on the internet.
