The AR Rahman concert which was held in Chennai on Sunday has earned severe criticism from the fans after poor management and coordination. Many have took social media to share their lamentable situation including experiences of panic attacks and anxiety issues resulted from overcrowding, and an “#ARRConcert” hashtag is now trending on X (formerly Twitter) with responses from people who went to attend the concert.

The live concert named “Markakkuma Nenjam” was rescheduled to Sunday after the earlier was cancelled due to sudden rains.

According to reports, several were excluded from the venue even though they owned tickets. People also accused the event coordinators as they sold more number of tickets, exceeding the seat capacity of the venue. Long queues and traffic made the situation more worse.

“We paid Rs 5,000 for this ticket but were made to stand outside. They didn”t let us go (inside). The issue was not with the crowd, but with the one who organised this event. There were limited number of seats, but they sold more tickets”, the news agency PTI quoted a fan.
