Paatal Lok Season 2 Teaser: Jaideep Ahlawat As Hathi Ram

Amazon Prime Video dropped a gripping teaser of the season two of the critically acclaimed series Paatal Lok starring Jaideep Ahlawat, Ishwak Singh, and Gul Panag.

While the teaser gives nothing away in terms of visuals from the second season, it features Ahlawat’s Hathi Ram Choudhary narrating a creepy story, a warning on the new demons crawling out from paatal lok or hell.

As he enters into an elevator and presses a button ‘P’ (referring to paatal lok), the iconic character narrates a story to the audience. “Once upon a time, in a quiet village, there lived a man. A man who hated insects with every fiber of his being. He believed these creatures were behind all of the world’s evil.”

As the lift seems to speeds up, he continues, “Then, one day, an insect crawled out from the corner of his house, and bit him. He mustered up all his courage…and killed it.” Sparks of electricity fly with lights flickering, signs of descending the underworld.

“And what do you? Overnight, he became a hero! The villagers worshipped him like he was their saviour. For many nights, he slept peacefully,” he said before the elevator comes alive and descends further. A bruised Hathi Ram, inside the broken lift, goes on, “Until one eerie night, something moved under his bed. First, it was one insect. Ten insects. Thousands. Lakhs. Crores. Infinite insects.”

The lift reaches its destination, he steps out. “Poor guy…he killed one insect and thought it was all over. That’s not how it works. Not down here in Paatal Lok.”

Directed by Avinash Arun Dhaware, the second season will release on January 17, 2025.

New additions to the cast include the talented Tillotama Shome, Nagesh Kukunoor, and Jahnu Barua in key roles.
