Actor STR’s sensational upcoming project, STR 49, got an interesting update on the auspicious day of Tamil New Year. Elevating the star’s upcoming entertainer with director Ramkumar Balakrishnan, young music composer Sai Abhyankkar has come aboard today.

Sensational music composer Sai Abhyankkar, who stormed the internet with his albums Aasa Kooda and Katchi Sera, has now emerged to be the choice of all prominent directors in the industry. The music composer, who is yet to make his debut in Tamil cinema, has been signing projects with renowned filmmakers.

Amidst great anticipation, Sai has now been roped in as a music composer for STR 49. On the occasion of Tamil New Year, actor Silambarasan officially welcomed him on board with a special X post.

While sharing some pictures of him with the young music director,  STR wrote, “Happy Tamil New Year.  Starting this new chapter with music and fresh energy. Welcoming @SaiAbhyankkar on board! #STR49.”

Directed by Parking fame director Ram Kumar, STR 49 will be produced by Don Pictures. The film, which reportedly revolves around college life and politics, will feature STR as an engineering student. The first look poster, which was released on STR’s 41st birthday, portrayed the actor in college attire, holding a knife hidden inside a book. The caption of the post read, “The Most WANTED Student.”

Thug Life update

Meanwhile, STR’s Thug Life with the legendary Kamal Haasan also got an update today. The first single of this Mani Ratnam directorial will be dropped soon by the makers. Announcing this, the production house of the film, Raaj Kamal Films International, on X wrote, “New Year. New LIFE. #ThugLife #ThugstersFirstSingle Coming soon”
