As the actor Salman Khan is all set to mark his arrival to the theaters on Eid 2025 with his anticipated project Sikandar, directed by A R Murugadoss, recent turn of events have curbed the production, putting the safety of the actor in question.
The assassination of the politician and NCP leader Baba Siddique has sent tremendous shock waves across the country, especially for Bollywood. With the Khan family worried over the shooting outside their residence in April, followed by the demise of a close friend and an influential political figure, Salman has decided to put halt his shooting schedules for the next few days at least.

As per reports, the shooting for any projects of the actor has been indefinitely stopped because of safety concerns. Reports also revealed that it was no longer enough to provide him stern security and the actor has to lay low until the situations turns back to normal.
Moreover, since Sikandar requires extreme dedication and attention of the actor with a whole lot of choreographed action sequences, the production has been halted currently. Considering the emotional turmoil he has been undergoing after the sudden demise of Baba Siddique, it seems that the actor will not be able to provide what the film needs as of now.

Sikandar boasts of an ensemble cast with Rashmika Mandanna as the leading lady and Kajal Aggarwal, Prateik Babbar, among others in key roles. Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, the film is scheduled to release during Eid 2025. But it is yet to be seen if the makers will be retaining this release date after Salman’s sudden decision to take a break.
The intensity of the issue has also affected the cameo appearance of the actor in the upcoming Rohit Shetty’s cop story, Singham Again. Due to safety concerns, the makers have axed the planned cameo presence of Salman reprising his cop role Chulbul Pandey from Dabangg.
