There is a new IT couple in B-Town. Sara Ali Khan and Vijay Varma is setting the screen ablaze with their sizzling chemistry in Netflix release Murder Mubarak. The recently released song of the film, Yaad Aave, portraying the unrequited love between the pair.
Vijay Varma’s clean shaven face and short hair complimented by Sara Ali Khan’s doe eyes appear to charm the audience every time they watch the song, creating an urge to come back for the song.
Recollecting her experience in creating the yearning chemistry on-screen with Vijay Varma, Sara said the chemistry that people are appreciating are just them trying to do justice to what Bambi and Akash are feeling. She said Vijay brings spontaneity into the scene and working him with was an absolute privilege.
On the other hand, Vijay said he did not think that Sara and him could create that sizzling chemistry. He said, while it was a “simmering romance..the unspoken unsaid undercurrent type” on paper, both Sara and him were the exact opposite on the set.
Vijay Varma shared an instance of shooting one intense passionate scene. He said when he was least expecting, “Sara was so deeply into her character, she pulled me in as well and we gave a hot take!”. The star said only when two actors share a comfortable bond and let go of their inhibition will they be able to create passion and chemistry onscreen. Vijay said, they just went back to goofing around after completing the “hot scene”.
Sharing the experience of working with the pair, the director of the film, Homi Adajania said, both Vijay and Sara quickly realised that the characters, Akash and Bambi had such an intense backstory and that their chemistry would be inevitable. He said, oftentimes the anticipation of making of even professing love is sexier than the act itself, and that was the scenario of his characters most of the time.
Murder Mubarak will be premiered on Netflix from March 15. The film is helmed by Homi Adajani and produced by Dinesh Vijan of Maddock Films. The film also stars Karisma Kapoor, Pankaj Tripathi, Aditya Roy Kapoor and Kunal Khemu.
