Actor Nani has been making headlines lately for his reactions and the counter regret over his responses on actor Arshad Warsi. Recently, the actor addressed the aftermath of the Hema Committee report in the Malayalam industry and expressed his concerns over the revelation of shocking truths about alleged sexual assault cases and more.

The Saripodhaa Sanivaaram actor in his recent interview reacted to the alleged sexual harassment and exploitation of women in the Malayalam industry. Addressing the condition of women in the country at large, the actor stated that the current situation has been disturbing him.

“Starting with the 2012 Nirbhaya case, it never stops and it has been continuously disturbing us,” the actor said. While reacting to the social media’s approach to this issue, Nani said that he was scared to scroll on social media platform X because the visuals or the news could disturb him for the rest of the day.

He also added, “So, we are in this social media boom, everyone is on social media, doing so many things. I think that anything that goes to a peak will start coming down.”

Addressing the rising sexual harassment issue cases, he said, “I genuinely feel now when I hear all this news, especially about how women are treated or how anybody can say or do anything and they think they can get away with it, I think we are in the worst possible (situation)… comparatively, 20 years earlier, the situation was much better.”

The actor, who is looking forward to his upcoming release Saripodhaa Sanivaaram, got into a controversy recently with his comment over actor Arshad Warsi and then later expressed his regret stating “My choice of words was poor.” Saripodhaa Sanivaaram will be releasing on August 29.
