Shah Rukh Khan Thanks Wife Gauri In Emotional IIFA Award Speech.
Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan won the Best Actor Award at the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards 2024 for his film Jawan on Saturday. In his heartfelt acceptance speech, he thanked his wife Gauri Khan saying she was the only wife who spends more on her husband than the other way around. He jokingly acknowledged her support during tough times while making the movie Jawan.
Shah Rukh Said: “Somebody reminded me that money needs to be put into a film. So, I want to thank Gauri. She may be the only wife who’s spending more on the husband than the other way around. We were going through a tough time while making Jawan.”
He also acknowledged his fellow nominees, Ranveer Singh, Ranbir Kapoor, Vikrant Massey, Vicky Kaushal, and Sunny Deol in his acceptance speech, stating, “I think all of them were great, but I got an edge because people were happy that I worked after so long.”

Other big winners at the IIFA Awards included Rani Mukerji, who took home the Best Actress trophy for her powerful performance in Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway, and Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal, which was declared the Best Film. The IIFA Awards ceremony held in Abu Dhabi was a star-studded event featuring Hema Malini, Rekha, Anil Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal, Shahid Kapoor, and Kriti Sanon along with several other Bollywood actors. Shah Rukh Khan hosted the evening alongside Vicky Kaushal and Karan Johar and even performed a lively dance to the hit song ‘Oo Antava’.

The three-day IIFA celebrations which started on September 27 will conclude on September 29 (today) with the exclusive IIFA Rocks, which is an ‘invitation-only’ event featuring live performances by popular artists like Honey Singh, Shilpa Rao, and Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy.
