"The Only One With Style": Jaaved Jaafri On What Set Shah Rukh Khan Apart From Salman And Aamir Khan (Instagram image@ jaavedjaaferi)
Shah Rukh Khan lives rent free in hearts of millions across the globe. Khan, the epitome of class and style, also possess a knack for making everyone whom he cross paths with gush over him. Jaaved Jaaferi, who had only worked with Shah Rukh Khan in 1995 movie, Oh Darling Yeh Hai India, underlined what makes the ‘Bollywood Baadshah’ stand out.
Speaking to MensXP, Jaaferi shared an anecdote on what makes Khan stand apart from his contemporaries like Salman Khan and Aamir Khan. Jaaferi recalled that it was during the shooting of their movie together, they got really close.
He said, “He (Shah Rukh Khan) is a very intelligent guy. Really wise. He knew where he wanted to be. And he made a point, which I knew, but he just underlined it”.

Khan once explained the journey to be a star with Jaaferi. He asserted that one needs a certain style to stand out. “A thing that is your own. He got that. And if you notice he stands out because he has got his own style. People may make fun of it but whatever…”, Jaaferi recalled.
He also highlighted the flair of Shatrughan Sinha, Dev Anand, Amitabh Bachchan, and Dharmendra to demonstrate how certain things just belong to certain people.
The Dhamaal star then went on about Shah Rukh Khan. He said Khan “is the only one in this generation who is identified with a style. Other actors don’t have that”.

As per Jaaferi, it was Shah Rukh Khan’s understanding of his star era that primarily made him stand out and apart. He said, “Salman is also a huge star. Aamir is a star but the style content I am talking about, that’s his style. He has got a trademark on it”.
On work front, Jaaferi was last seen in Taaza Khabar, a Disney+Hotstar release. SRK is prepping for his next release from Sujoy Ghosh. Titled as ‘King’, the film will also have Suhana Khana, Abhishek Bachchan, and Abhay Varma in major roles.
