According to an exclusive report by entertainment news portal Pinkvilla, Bollywood star Shahid Kapoor is set to begin shooting for the investigative thriller “Koi Shaq,” directed by Malayalam filmmaker Rosshan Andrrews. The film will hit the floor in the second week of October. Despite months of pre-production, the film will finally commence filming next month, with the goal of completing it by December. According to the report, the makers are planning the release of “Koi Shaq” in theaters in mid-2024.
The Jab We Met star committed to this project last year and the script”s development caused delays, the report said.
“Finally, all the pieces have fallen into place, and Shahid has adjusted his schedule starting from mid-October. The director and the entire team are now re-energized and ready to start filming after nearly a year of waiting for Shahid”s availability,” a source closely associated with the project told Pinkvilla.
Mr Andrrews, who made his debut with Udayananu Tharam in 2005, is known for Notebook, Evidam Swargamanu, Casanovva, Mumbai Police, How Old Are You? (36 Vayadhinile in Tamil), School Bus, Kayamkulam Kochunni, Prathi Poovankozhi and Salute.
Shahid Kapoor, earlier this year, made his foray into the world of OTT with the crime-comedy series “Farzi,” created by Raj & DK. His portrayal of disillusioned artist Sunny in this Amazon Prime series earned him widespread acclaim.
Following this success, he delivered another outstanding performance as a corrupt narcotics officer in Ali Abbas Zafar”s “Bloody Daddy.”
Right now, he has completed shooting for Dinesh Vijan”s yet-untitled robot-romantic-comedy alongside Kriti Sanon and the movie scheduled for a theatrical release in December.
