Shreyas Talpade Suffers Heart Attack, Undergoes Angioplasty

Actor Shreyas Talpade, 47, suffered a heart attack immediately after completing his shoot in Mumbai on Thursday evening. Following the incident, the actor was promptly taken to Bellevue Hospital in Andheri West, where he underwent angioplasty.

News agency ANI reported that the condition of the Iqbal actor is stable now.

A source close to the incident revealed to Hindustan Times that he shot throughout the day for the movie underproduction multi-starrer film Welcome to the Jungle, appeared in good spirits, and engaged in light-hearted banter with everyone on the set.

The actor, according to the source, even participated in sequences involving action. Following the completion of the shoot, upon returning home, he informed his wife about feeling uneasy. In response, she promptly took him to the hospital and he collapsed on the way.

Shreyas Talpade has been part of both art house and commercial movies in both Hindi and Marathi and has directed the move Poster Boys.

Shreyas has won many awards, including Maharashtra state cinema awards.

His ongoing project Welcome To Jungle is part of the Welcome series and the movie boasts of an ensemble cast including Akshay Kumar, Raveena Tandon, Disha Patani, Jacqueline Fernandez, Lara Dutta, Suniel Shetty, Sanjay Dutt, Paresh Rawal, Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Rajpal Yadav, Johny Lever, Kiku Sharda and Krushna Abhishek.
