"Simple And Lovable": Social Media Reviews Shane Nigam's Little Hearts

The Shane Nigam starrer Little Hearts has hit the theatres and reviews are pouring out for the film. From social media reactions, it appears that the Anto Jose Pereira and Aby Treesa Paul directorial has not quite managed to hit its mark with the audience.

The film follows the story of three couples and has a surprise addition of a queer love story, which resulted in the film being banned in GCC countries ahead of its release. Featuring Shane Nigam, Shine Tom Chacko, Mahima Nambiar, Baburaj, Jaffer Idukki, Aima Rosmy Sebastian and more, the film delivers a simple story but struggles to maintain a steady screenplay and a weak story. However, it does have its moment with a strong cast, especially the cracking combo of Shane Nigam and Baburaj.

An X (formerly known as Twitter) user called the film “simple” and “lovable,” and appreciated the comedy and songs. While the user noted the first half to be better with an “okayish script,” he praised the film for “Shane & Baburaj chemistry great. Mahima usual. Shine Tom miscast. Neither a theatre must watch, nor a bad outing. Average flick.”

Another user by the name Manu Thankachy described the film as a “candy bag filled with a few tiny surprises and some forward-thinking ideas coated in sweetness.” The user found actor Baburaj as the show stealer with Shane Nigam’s excellent performance to back it up.

The “simple” film has been appreciated for its progressive ideas. When it comes to the cast, it seems to be a unanimous feeling that the Baburaj and Shane pair has hit the mark. “Baburaj and Shane combo works very well. Mahima is decent. Shine is continuing his middling work. Easily passable film.”
