“Swades Will Always Be…”: What Shah Rukh Khan Said On AGPPL Completing 20 Years
Ashutosh Gowarikar Productions Private Limited (AGPPL), the iconic production house helmed by director Ashutosh Gowarikar completed 20 years today. On achieving a big milestone of two decades in its journey in Indian cinema, the production house credited every individuals, who were the part of their journey by unveiling a special teaser.
The five minute long video comprised of scenes from films, which was produced under its banner and offered a sneak peek to it’s cinematic excellence. Celebrating the two decade long journey, the filmmaker said it is to the credit of every artist, technician, and member of the crew who has been part of his films and journey. Notably AGPPL has so far produced Shah Rukh Khan starrer Swades, Jodhaa Akbar, Everest and Panipat since its inception.

Shah Rukh Khan, who was part of the Swades which is one of the best acting works of the superstar so far, commented on the achievement and said the NRI-scientist-returning-to-his-roots movie will always be one of his most special films.
“Congratulations @AshGowariker!! Your vision and talent has given us many films to cherish. Twenty years is a big milestone and here’s to many many more years of fantastic films!! Swades will always be one of my most special films…,” King Khan wrote on X.

Founded in 2004 by Gowariker and his wife Sunita, the journey of AGPPL began with the iconic Shah Rukh Khan starrer Swades, the film that remains as a special ode to humanity and home. Later the film went on to create timeless classics of bollywood like Jodha Akbar, Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey, Mohenjo Daro, and more.
Moreover, Sunita Gowariker expressed her excitement stating “These 20 years have been an extraordinary journey of collaboration, creativity, and unwavering commitment and we are excited for what the future holds.”
