Actor Dhanush‘s Tere Ishk Mein has found itself on the most anticipated release list. And now, to make things interesting, actress Kriti Sanon has joined the board, starring along with the Kubera actor. Sounds exciting, right?
Another interesting update was revealed today. Guess what? The intense teaser introducing Kriti as Mukti to the world of Aanand L Rai’s Tere Ishk Mein is finally here.
Set within the same world as 2013’s Raanjhanaa, this standalone sequel witnesses the reunion of Rai with Dhanush and AR Rahman for another intense tale of unrequited love. Produced by Rai himself along with Himanshu Sharma, Bhushan Kumar, and Krishan Kumar, this sequel holds Gulshan Kumar, T-Series, and Colours as its production partners.

With lyrics written by the talented Irshad Kamil, the songs have been composed by the music maestro AR Rahman. Even though this factor seems interesting, the major plot details are still hidden under wraps.
As the introduction teaser of Dhanush imprinted the land of chaos in our minds, the new teaser of the Do Patti actress sparks curiosity to find the story behind it.
It introduces Sanon’s character as Mukti, who is walking through a running battle in a city holding a can of petrol. As emotive music plays, she douses herself before sitting down and sparking a cigarette with tears in her eyes.
This comes a day after the makers of Tere Ishk Mein released another teaser featuring a poignant voiceover by an unidentified actress. In the clip, she questioned, “Shankar, Ishq mein sirf ladke hi marte hai kya? Kuch ladkiya bhi kaleja rakhti hai jaan dene ka.”

As Tere Ishk Mein shares the thematic roots with Raanjhanaa, it’s an expansion to the prequel rather than an extension. Moreover, the film is also believed to enhance the emotional depth of the Raanjhanaa world with its deep and new narrative.
As per Rai, this venture would be a deep personal exploration of love and tragedy, which reflects his own evolution as a filmmaker.
